This page pops up as my homepage on my computer, yet it says this should not affect stats, but I see that it does. How can this site not recognize my IP address? It is supposed to I thought. The only traffic on my blog is from me clicking on links on my page when not logged in. Only one or two were probably from other people. I find this rather annoying. How do I know who besides myself is seeing my blog? I can tell the stats are not correct but how do I correct that if there is no complaint boards here? I have lots of questions about this site and this is my first. I’d welcome some feedback here that is relative to my questions. Thanks, in advance.
One other question is why on earth is the blog squishing my fonts too small and not all the same size for each line????? My 3rd post today looks horrible!!@! And font colors have become unstable, too. They don’t show up correctly now. Grrrrrrrrrrrr…
When WordPress says that it doesn’t count visits to your own site, it assumes that you’re always logged in. As far as I understand it, it doesn’t detect your IP address at all. So if it’s your homepage and every time you fire up the internet, it will give you a hit because it doesn’t know it’s you, because you’re not logged on.
It’s not a perfect system.
Perfect? That is quite laughable. It’s not even functional if it counts every non logged on hit, and without IP addresses being verified it is a totally a bogus system! That is my opinion, but I think most places that use hit counts are way better than this.
